Special Issue on Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Cluster Computing and Sensor Networks
Journal of Cluster Computing, Springer

Sensor networks and cluster computing have received magnificent attention from both industry and academia, as they present numerous exciting applications in the Internet of Things, machine-to-machine and cyber-physical systems, and green cloud computing, which can fundamentally change the way people interact with the physical world.

The adoption of artificial intelligent methods for building intelligent systems in cluster computing could offer a number of advantages. Artificial intelligent could provide means for the creation of effective systems that will respond to every situation met in a dynamic environment. Hence, end users and providers will have the minimum intervention in handling the offered services together with the highest possible performance. In this special issue, we solicit research papers addressing all aspects of sensor networks and cluster computing. The goal of the issue is to bring together state-of-the-art research contributions and review articles that address various aspects of analysis, design, optimization, implementation and applications of sensor networks and cluster computing.

The potential topics include, but not limited to

  • Neural networks for cluster computing
  • Metaheuristic optimization in cluster computing
  • Data mining applications for cluster computing
  • Big data and cluster computing
  • Computational methods for cluster computing
  • Cluster computing applications (Health care, Internet of things, Disaster recovery, etc)
  • Sensor-cloud protocols
  • Sensor-cloud applications
  • Design and integration of sensor-cloud systems
  • Big sensor data analytics
  • Big data processing in sensor networks.
